Morgan Hunt is currently looking for Substance Misuse Workers to be based across the West & East Midlands.
Our clients work hard to provide services to individuals experiencing problems as a result of substance misuse. They provide advice, information, support and treatment to those suffering from addictive behaviour.
We require Substance Misuse Workers ideally with previous experience working with mixed case loads of drug and alcohol misuse clients.
Main duties will include:
* Dealing with mixed case loads of both Drug and Alcohol users
* Providing advice and information on Substance Misuse to both users and people affected by a users addictive behaviour.
* Providing advice on harm reduction and needle exchange.
* Working closely with service users, carrying out assessments and developing and implementing care plans.
* Carrying out key worker sessions and group work programmes.
* Build and maintain relationships with service users, their families and professional organisations affiliated with the service.
Applicants must have excellent communication and observation skills and a non-judgemental manner. A genuine interest in working with people is essential and the belief in each client's ability to make positive changes is paramount.
There are no set minimum entry qualifications but previous experience working in a similar role in a health, social care or criminal justice setting is essential as is previous experience carrying a mixed case load for both Drug and Alcohol users.
Due to the nature of this role an enhanced CRB carried out in the last 12 months is essential.
